I traveled to Cairo in March 2022 to help the UN Communications Group align its communications strategy and activities with the upcoming UN Sustainable Development Cooperation Framework, focusing primarily on COP27 and climate action. My days were filled with collaborative meetings with the teams from the UN Information Centre, Resident Coordinator Office, and UN Country Team. Together, we strategized on optimizing messaging, understanding media landscapes, and fostering transparency. By the mission's end, we crafted a roadmap for a joint communications strategy, aiming for synchronized climate action messaging across regional, country, and global levels.
